Ron and Peg Galipeau have spent more than 20 years in Berks County area,  we began to see how many families could appreciate a helpful hand.

As a young girl I remember visiting my grandmother at the nursing home. I didn't like the depressing feeling of the facility, my grandmother's sadness when saying goodbye and the guilt my family felt at not being able to care for her at home. My mother always was caring and giving of her time to care for members of the family and the neighbors. I saw the difference she made in their lives.  I decided to make a career change. After working as a EMT and a billing manager for Exeter Ambulance for 16 years I didn't know what I wanted to be when I grew up, and now I can truly say I have found Home Helpers to be a perfect match. It feels like we can make a difference in alot of lives.  

We opened Home Helpers in July 2003, providing Senior Care, New Moms and Working Parents, Recuperative Care and/or Continuing Care services to our community.  Since 2003 we have served over 175 clients in  the Chester and Lancaster Counties. We work closly with the Chester County Office on Aging, Friends Life Care at Home, John Hancock Insurance and others. We are respected members of the LE-Tip of Exton, Philadelphia Co-op and the Exton Chamber of Commerce. I truly enjoy working with people.

Alicia Tipton - Care Cordinator
Alicia has served as the Care Coordinator for Home Helpers of Downingtown for the last 2 years.  She found herself at Home Helpers after previously enjoying her work with the elderly at a local nursing home facility. Outside of work, Alicia enjoys spending time with her children, friends & family.  She resides in Southern Chester County and is an active member of her church and the Bridge of Hope organization.

Elileen Mento - Case Manager
Eileen Mento comes to us with over 20 years of experience in physical therapy and Geriatric Care. She worked at Tel-Hai for 4 years. She is our case manager and handles client relations, caregiver training, home assessments, marketing and public education.
